Dr. Daniel Stewart at Smile Savers Dentistry in Columbia MarylandIt’s spring and the pollen levels are high here in Maryland as well as across the country. A fairly mild and warm winter has caused noses to be much more sensitive to pollen and other allergens that are floating around. At Smile Savers Dentistry in Columbia Maryland, we have had an influx of patients dropping by our dental office with sensitive teeth. Although the teeth have been mostly fine, quite often what is happening is that some of the tooth roots lie in the sinus cavity and when your sinuses are inflamed and irritated due to spring allergens, it can make your teeth ache.
Dentistry for AllergiesIf you are experiencing sensitive teeth from “out of the blue,” call the office and I can help determine whether your toothache is related to a sinus problem or if it is an actual dental issue. I can diagnose the difference between tooth pain due to decay; or a dead nerve, versus a tooth that is simply being aggravated by your allergies!

At Smile Savers Dentistry, we take the time to correctly diagnose whatever it is that may be causing you to be in pain. After we have an accurate diagnosis, we work on treating your teeth properly and correctly. My experienced staff help me to provide the highest quality of care amongst that sea of dentists here in Columbia, MD.

Please make an appointment to see us if you are having dental sensitivity. Call our dentist office at 410-730-6460. Enjoy spring and stay healthy and happy!
